Our Mission Statement

-- adopted March 2001--
In a changing world, the Presbytery of Cincinnati is called to proclaim and live out the Good News of Jesus Christ by welcoming diversity, forming partnerships, building unity, and connecting with our communities.

Our Strategic Directions

-- adopted January 2005 --
In order to make progress on our vision, in the next few years we will put our energy into the following strategic directions:

   Building Trust

We will build trust together. Without this, all the other strategic efforts will fall short and our vision will not become a reality.

   Connecting

  •  connecting congregations
   connecting presbytery and congregations

We will grow healthy and helpful connections between congregations, one to another, and between the congregations and the presbytery.

Empowering and Nurturing for Energy and Wholeness

  •  caring for ministers and other church professionals
  •  equipping the saints
  •  sharing our successes

We will cultivate healthy and effective leaders for our congregations and our presbytery through support and training.

   Creating

  •  re-inventing presbytery meetings
  •  tapping our spiritual roots
  •  structuring our lives together
We will discover ways of doing presbytery that enliven the spirit rather than deplete it.

Our Mission Priorities for 2010-2012

  •  congregations in transition
  •  leadership development
  •  local mission
  •  nurture of church professionals
