Beholding (Green)

For the last month or so I’ve been doing a photography thing of focusing (pun intended) on a color each week. This week I was looking for green. I ended up reflecting on the leaves of trees that have special meaning to me. The one above is the leaf of a tree in our front yard that we planted in memory of a young girl named Samantha who died of a very rare disease. Touching that one leaf was a prayerful act as I prayed for her parents.
