To fulfill the trustee function of the Presbytery and act as its legal representative in accordance with the Book of Order and state and federal laws.
To serve as pastor and counselor to teaching elders, commissioned ruling elders, and certified Christian educators of the Presbytery; to facilitate the relations between the Presbytery and its congregations, teaching elders, commissioned ruling elders, and certified Christian educators; and to settle differences on behalf of the Presbytery when possible and expedient.
The purpose of Council is to coordinate the Presbytery’s mission and program, to provide for the regular review of the functional relationship between the Presbytery’s structure and its mission, and to implement the priorities and purposes of the Presbytery between Presbytery gatherings as necessary.
