Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the Church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.
Presbyterian Women in the Presbytery of Cincinnati includes all women who are members of the PC(USA).
Interested members from local churches are invited to participate in three Gatherings annually: Spring, Summer, and Advent.
Presbyterian Women traces its heritage back 200 years to a time when women had more limited opportunity for involvement in church leadership roles. Women were very interested in sharing the gospel of Jesus and they began supporting the mission efforts of the denomination with prayer, finances, and their handiwork abilities.
Today, women enjoy many leadership roles in the Presbyterian Church (USA), but they still look forward to sharing quality time with their sisters in Christ. The Purpose (above) was adopted 30+ years ago when the current Presbyterian Women organization was formed from two predecessor organizations.
