WORKSHOP 1
Adam Hayden: The Open Door Strategy: A 5-Pillar Blueprint for Attracting New Families to Your Church
Are you looking for new outreach efforts? Do you want to try something beyond vacation Bible school once a year and traditional Sunday School? In this hands-on workshop, ministry leader Adam Hayden will walk you through The Open Door Strategy: a practical, data-driven framework for getting new families through your doors by meeting them where they already are.
You’ll leave with:
• A step-by-step process for surveying your community and turning their answers into programming families actually want
• A simple, low-budget model for staffing and running a class series (4 weeks for as little as $750)
• Tools for reducing friction in registration, first impressions, and follow-up
• A sustainability plan so the program outlives any single staff person
This workshop is ideal for pastors, ministry leaders, and outreach committee members who are ready to stop guessing and start listening.
WORKSHOP 2
Cyclical: Inspiring Faithful Innovation Through the Church
Cyclical Inc. is a community of practitioners who believe innovation is the future of a vibrant church. If you are church leader of any kind, you have felt the weight and frustration of trying to do something new. It can often feel like nobody is there to understand or to help. We understand how isolating innovative leadership can be. Our response to inspiring faithful innovation through the Church is not to try to do more on our own, but to join people together and explore a multi-tiered support scaffolding. Through mutual relationships, we have witnessed God transforming churches of various sizes, traditions and contexts around the world.
WORKSHOP 3
Peter Block Activating the Common Good
Peter is a noted author and speaker on organizational development, community building, and civic engagement – and how they affect the business, education and faith worlds. His most recent book, Activating the Common Good, covers the approach of community structures on journalism, architecture, leadership, and faith communities, and focuses on actionable strategies for relational activism, including protocols for building trust in one-on-one interactions, group meetings, and low-trust environments. Activating the Common Good is both a critique of current societal norms and a roadmap for change. It encourages readers to shift from a mindset of control and competition to one of trust, collaboration, and shared responsibility. By fostering relational activism, the book aims to awaken the collective power of communities, enabling meaningful social transformation and a more sustainable, connected world
WORKSHOP 4
Carol Holbrook Prickett: Beyond the Box: Creating a Stewardship Series for the Church You Actually Have
This practical workshop will walk clergy and worship leaders through the process of creating a custom stewardship series. While there are many excellent pre-built resources in the world, worship resources that are tailored to a church’s culture, strengths, needs, and story can better capture the faithful imagination of both the pastor and the congregation. Designed for clergy and worship leaders who are looking for basic skills in creating a custom series, the workshop will offer a collection of exercises, case studies, and prompts. You’ll walk away with resources and confidence to create your own worship series, with the goal of increasing both financial generosity and spiritual engagement for yourself and for your congregation. While this workshop is applicable to all worship leaders and denominations, it may be of special interest to smaller congregations who rely more heavily on DIY options.
