Sharon Carter – Stated Clerk

Sharon is a lifelong Presbyterian who graduated from Louisville Seminary with an MDiv in 2001. Ordained by Holston Presbytery, she spent 10 years in the Presbytery of East Tennessee, where she served congregations big and small. Sharon came to Cincinnati in 2013, where she served as pastor for 10 years at Community of Faith Presbyterian Church in northern Kentucky. In 2023, she became the Transitional Pastor for Greenhills Community Church, Presbyterian. She was elected as Stated Clerk for the Presbytery of Cincinnati in May of 2024.

Sharon lives in Fort Wright, KY, with her husband Jeff and their two cats, Stella and Malbec. Their adult children are Nick, who lives in Charleston, SC, and Jay, who lives in Knoxville, TN. Sharon likes to hike, swim, and read, and is a painter and printmaker when she has time.
