Sheryl’s professional career started in academia at University of Cincinnati, after graduating with a degree in Microbiology and Chemistry. Spanning 34 years, she worked in both the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, ending her career as the Director of Clinical Operations for Johnson and Johnson.
Sheryl is an active member of the P.E.O Sisterhood; a US based international woman’s organization. The primary focus is to provide educational opportunities for female students worldwide. Additionally, she is an active supporter for Restavek Freedom; a Cincinnati based organization working to end child slavery in Haiti. Sheryl has recently started volunteering with Pathway for Patient Health, mentoring college students as they prepare to graduate and make career decisions.
Sheryl is married (Tom) and has two children (Allison and Alex), a daughter-in-law (Samantha) and a grand-puppy! Her hobbies include gardening (she picks out the plants and Tom does the planting), reading historical fiction and non-fiction, traveling, and entertaining her friends and family.
