Workshop A

For Everyone

Contemplation, Conversation, Community

All are welcome for this time of conversation, contemplative prayer, sharing our wisdom, and supporting one another in our spiritual journeys and as spiritual leaders. We will consider a quote and engage a contemplative prayer practice together with a portion of scripture – no experience required! We will lean in the direction of what it means to lead from a contemplative posture, but also be open to where the Spirit takes each one of us as we talk, pray, and share. You will leave with a full description of the practice of the day that you can use with the spiritual leaders in your congregations.

Facilitators:

Rev. Rebecca Borsarge

Workshop B

For Pastors

The GPS Spiritual Inventory

A Christ-Centered Approach to Spiritual Health

The God-Personal-Social (GPS) Spiritual Inventory assesses the depth of your relationship with God, the level of your self-differentiation, and your capacity for empathy for others. These make up the three components of GPS Spiritual Health. Within each category, there are three markers that help us to better define and measure your spiritual health. These factors and this assessment have been established, proven reliable, and shown as valid through state of the art statistical analysis. We can never be the people God has called us to be, we can never live the lives God is calling us to live, and we can never receive the fullness of God’s loving life if we do not give attention to our relationship with God, our relationship with ourselves, and our relationship with others.

Facilitator: Rev. Deb Uchtman

Workshop C

For Everyone

Anti Gun Violence

Our ruling Council has adopted anti-gun violence as a platform for the Presbytery of Cincinnati.  This workshop is a listening session, a brainstorming session, and seeks to design a faith-based introduction to gun violence awareness, and to educate and empower churches to address and raise awareness of gun violence through the lens of faith, compassion, and collective action.

Facilitator: Moderator Reggie Roberts and Elder Jan Hunter

Workshop D

For Everyone

Got Scam…?

Churches today are being scammed all the time.  How do you spot it?  How do you control it?  How do you deal with it? Join this workshop to learn how to spot scams, how to prevent scams, and how to secure your websites and technology to avoid as many scams as possible.  We’ll also be sharing other Internet safety basics for churches that go beyond just scams.

Facilitator:
