Cincinnati Presbytery
Presbytery Gatherings are the primary way that Presbyterians come together to make decisions and worship and fellowship together. Each Teaching Elder is a member of Presbytery with voice and vote in the meetings, and each congregation has at least one commissioner, a Ruling Elder elected by session, to attend the meetings with voice and vote. The RE from a congregation does not have to be currently serving on session.
Minutes from the previous Gathering are not final until approved by the Presbytery and are included in the Gathering Packet for review by all commissioners. Any errors in provisional minutes should be noted and brought to the attention of the Stated Clerk, either by email before the Gathering or at the Gathering itself.
